Colleagues:Greg Scheckler and I were in graduate school together. He now lives and works in Massachusetts. Its been really fascinating to follow the evolution of Greg's work over the years. Lots to look at, and read about on this web site! Greg's wife, Laura Christensen is also a great friend of mine from gradutae school. Laura does the most interesting and mysterious work--involving assemblage, drawing, and woodworking skills. They defy description really, so you'd better have a look at her web site and see for yourself. Brad Abrams and I were undergraduate students together. Nowadays he has a professional glasss studio in Dallas, and keeps me informed about the art scene there. His work is sculptural and very unusual. heronglass.comThe glass scene here in our little valley is big and thriving too, thanks largely to long time friends Ralph Mossman and Mary Mullaney, owner's of Heron Glass. They are unbelieveably successful, because the work is beautiful. Check it out! Friend, and Driggs artist Kelly Sullivan does large scale "finger smear" paintings, often collaboratively with groups of people, which are absolutely original in their approach. A friend I made in cyber space because of the sameness of our names, the similarities of our work, and so much more. They say everyone has a twin. Now with the help of the internet, you can actually find them. I like this gal's work so much I bought a piece! Greta Gretzinger's work can be seen all around the area I live in. sometimes in the most unexpected places! She is a great artist with a fabulous sense of humor.
